Another Hoosier Legend Speaks to Today's Issues

"Liberal democracy meant an active government that would ensure the rights of the majority against the influence of a wealthy oligarchy represented in my eyes by the magnates of banking and industry."*
-- Hoosier historian, journalist, politician, and ambassador to Spain and Chile; Claude Bowers on why he supported the Progressive Movement.

Sounds familiar doesn't it? Bowers would have had no tolerance for today's media, left or right, but would particularly have choice words and no doubt devoted a lot of ink to Glenn Beck's comments. Especially this one.
